In mid-2007 Wendy's started a national roll-out of its new breakfast menu in its United States and Canadian stores.

Wendy's tried out with serving breakfast for a short time in the mid-1980s, but the attempt was unsuccessful due to many issues. While about twelve Wendy's restaurants in the US and its territories have been serving breakfast since then, Wendy's has not had a company-wide breakfast offering.

The new breakfast menu had better be fully deployed to all Wendy's in the U.S. by the end of 2009.
